FROM SURVIVING TO THRIVING: ORGANIZING THE DAY, WEEK, MONTH FOR THE NEW STROKE COORDINATOR
BEST PRACTICES FOR STROKE COORDINATORS
Presented by Michelle Whaley MSN, CNS, CCNS, CCRN, ANVP-BC
As a new Stroke Coordinator, it can be difficult to balance patient needs and program priorities, especially when everything has a high priority. This webinar will help new and existing coordinators with strategies to maintain efficiency in their daily, weekly and yearly work and will explore methods to maintain constant readiness for regulatory survey.
As a seasoned stroke coordinator, Michelle will discuss organizing your day at a PSC, TSC or CSC. She will give realistic day-to-day scenarios and discuss strategies for prioritizing “must do’s,” “should do’s” and “could do’s.”
She advises not to be “sweeping the streets,” shares how to stay current on data collection and explores methods to maintain constant readiness for regulatory survey. She also gives valuable insights on working with your program, with hospital and physician leadership and, if applicable, within your healthcare system.
It’s a great session for new stroke coordinators!
Participants will receive a summary of the webinar key points.
