Debbie Hill, BS, is a healthcare consultant and advisor focusing on neuroscience and stroke systems of care. She has held roles in hospital administration as well as management consulting. Her current work focuses on assisting organizations achieve stroke center certification. She is leading the engagement portion of an 18-center stroke trial funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute. She has served on The Joint Commission’s Disease-Specific Care Advisory Council and the American Stroke Association’s (ASA) National Advisory Committee where she chaired a national Post-Stroke Care Subcommittee. She is a Fellow of the American Stroke Association and serves on the Stroke Council.
Sarah Livesay, DNP, RN, ACNP-BC, CNS-BC, is an Advanced Practice Nurse from Chicago, Illinois. She works as an Associate Professor of Nursing at Rush University, and has teaching, scholarship, and clinical responsibilities. Dr. Livesay has expertise in stroke and neurocritical care clinical care, as well as building and evaluating neuroscience service line and clinical programs. She worked for 7 years as a Field Reviewer for The Joint Commission, evaluating Primary and Comprehensive Stroke programs. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Neurocritical Care Society, and is a Fellow of Neurocritical Care as well as a Fellow of the American Heart Association.
